PEORIA, Ill. — All occupants of a home in the 600 block of E. Corrington escaped a Wednesday morning fire unscathed.
Peoria Firefighter/Paramedics were called around 10:15 to the blaze at the two-story home.
There, they found smoke coming from the second story.
Crews were forced to enter through the rear of the home, determining entry through the front door was impossible.
It took the firefighters about 10 minutes to extinguish the blaze, the source of which, they said, was on the second story because of an unattended lit candle.
No firefighters were hurt.
