PEORIA, Ill. — There’s still time to sign up for the Salvation Army’s holiday assistance program.
The last day for in-person sign-ups for toys, red stockings and food baskets in Peoria is this Wednesday (December 7).
Officials say if you’re going to sign up, you’ll need to bring a photo ID and a piece of mail with your address on it. For toys, you’ll also need to bring verification of your child’s date of birth.
Winter coats for kids and adults will also be distributed during Wednesday’s sign-ups at the Salvation Army Family Service Center on NE Adams.
The hours are 9 a.m -4 p.m. at 417 NE Adams Street, Peoria. If you can’t make it to in-person sign-ups, you can also write a letter explaining the need for a food basket.
