SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Monday reported more than 8.8 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered.
More than 50,000 were administered on Sunday throughout Illinois.
IDPH Monday also reported 2,137 new COVID-19 cases, including 10 additional deaths.
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity is 4.1%.
As of Sunday night, 2,083 Illinoisans were hospitalized with COVID-19. Of those, 506 were in the ICU and 251 were on ventilators.
