PEORIA, Ill. – More details are coming out about a fatal accident late Wednesday afternoon not far from the Shoppes at Grand Prairie.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says the victim in the two-vehicle crash has been identified as Martisha Bell, 38.
Harwood describes Bell as an “unrestrained driver” of an SUV which collided with another SUV around 4:30 p-m near Orange Prairie and American Prairie.
Harwood says preliminary autopsy results indicate Bell likely died instantly, though she wasn’t pronounced dead until she was taken to the hospital.
An investigation continues, and Harwood says toxicology results are pending.
One other person was reported injured.
