PEORIA, Ill. — A Woodford County woman in her 60s died between Tuesday and Wednesday from COVID-19.
She lived in a long-term care facility, though the Woodford County Health Department did not reveal the facility in question.
Overall, 232 residents of the Peoria-Tazewell-Woodford tri-county tested positive during the reporting period for the virus. 133 of them live in Peoria County, 88 reside in Tazewell, and 11 are Woodford residents.
Hospital bed usage for the tri-county increased from 169 to 174. 43 of the 174 as of Wednesday afternoon were in intensive care, a decrease from Tuesday of one bed in use.
ICU bed availability for the greater Region Two remained at 17%. A total of 296 virus patients throughout the region were in hospitals, an increase of five from Tuesday, and rolling seven-day positivity stood at 6.9%, a number that has actually decreased by nearly a whole percentage point from five days ago.
