PEORIA, Ill. — 275 residents of Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties between Wednesday and Thursday tested positive for COVID-19.
165 of the residents reside in Peoria, 83 live in Tazewell, and 27 are Woodford residents.
Tri-county hospitalizations decreased by one, from 128 to 127. 38 of the 127 as of Thursday afternoon were in intensive care.
Region Two has reached a point where COVID hospitalizations have increased each day in the last 10 days.
Rolling seven-day positivity rate rose to 6.9%, and ICU bed availability has dropped to 20%, which once was the Illinois Department of Public Health’s threshold for avoiding mitigation measures.
