SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Health on Sunday reported 2,449 new cases of COVID-19.
14 additional deaths were also reported.
The 102,215 doses of vaccine administered were lower than the daily average of 108,914.
A total of 1,491 people as of Saturday night were in Illinois hospitals with the virus. 336 of them were in intensive care, and 143 were on ventilators.
Labs throughout the state collected 64,116 specimens between Saturday and Sunday to be tested.
