MORTON, Ill. — Morton School District 709 this past week saw some of its lowest COVID-19 numbers since the beginning of the pandemic, according to Superintendent Jeffrey W. Hill.
As of Friday, March 19, two students were positive with coronavirus, a nine student decrease from the previous week.
Student quarantines also decreased with 20 students in isolation, compared to 118 last week.
Two staff members had COVID-19, a one person increase from Friday, March 12.
Staff member isolations were down by six with three staff members in quarantine, compared to nine the previous week.
