PEORIA, Ill. — A Peoria woman who had been missing since November has been found dead in the Illinois River.
The Illinois State Police Department of Criminal Investigation was called Thursday by the Scott County Sheriffs Office to conduct an investigation in Naples, Ill.
A body was found in the river and was identified as 48-year-old Cosette Brown.
Her last known communication with family was Nov. 19, 2020.
An autopsy was being conducted to determine the circumstances surrounding Brown’s death.
