PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. – The Peoria County Coroner says it was a Canton man who was killed early Saturday morning following a crash in rural Peoria County.
Coroner Jamie Harwood says preliminary autopsy results indicate Nathan Fall, 38, died from multiple blunt force injuries, and likely died instantly.
Fall was driving a vehicle around 2:30 Saturday morning on Route 24 and Wheeler Road when it crossed the center line, left the roadway, and struck a tree before becoming trapped in the vehicle.
Harwood says Fall did not appear to be wearing a seat belt.
Toxicology test results are pending.
Illinois State Police is still investigating the crash.
