SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois public health officials reported 1,068 COVID-19 cases in the state on Sunday, including 14 additional deaths.
As of midnight Saturday, there were over 1,100 people in hospitals across Illinois for COVID-19. Of those patients, 255 were in intensive care and 112 were on ventilators.
The Illinois Department of Public Health said in the 24 hours between Saturday and Sunday, state labs conducted 68,094 coronavirus tests, resulting in a seven-day positivity rate of 2.3%.
Nearly 3.4 million vaccinations have been administered statewide since the beginning of the pandemic as of late Saturday.
