STREATOR, Ill. – Peoria-based Advanced Medical Transport officially loses a client.
According to a news release, the City of Streator’s Fire Department is beginning its own transport ambulance service as of 8:00 A.M. Saturday.
Streator is contracting with American Medical Response to provide staffing for the ambulance.
It’s not clear what kind of cost differential there would be, but Streator Fire plans on servicing two other fire protection districts in the area.
AMT had worked with Streator since 2004. It still has plenty of other clients throughout Central, Western, and Eastern Illinois, and parts of Iowa. It also has plenty of job openings currently.
