SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The state of Illinois accounted for 1,348 of the new coronavirus cases between Monday and Tuesday across America.
32 Illinoisans died during that time from the virus.
The 40,354 vaccines administered was well below the rolling seven-day average of 63,772, but the Illinois Department of Public Health attributed that to the winter storm that ripped across the state.
As with the fewer amount of vaccinations, labs collected 46,630 specimens to be tested for the virus.
The hospitalization count as of Monday night was 1,726. 385 of those were intensive care-level, and 179 were also using ventilators.
