Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood has identified the victim of the crash Friday night in the 100 block of S. Western Avenue in Peoria as 30-year-old Cherish Coleman.
One of the vehicles involved in the accident fled the scene. Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said the driver of that vehicle was 40-year-old Diana Marie Schick.
Schick was arrested Friday night and transported to the Peoria County Jail.

PEORIA, Ill. — The suspect driver responsible for the hit and run Friday evening has been identified as 40-year old Diana Marie Schick.
Schick was arrested Friday evening for Hit and Run with Injury/Death, DUI – Alcohol, Driving on a Suspended
License, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, Failure to Give Information/Render Aid and Failure to Give Notice of an Accident.
Schick was transported to the Peoria County Jail following the arrest.
PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police and Fire were called just before 6 p.m. Friday to the 100 block of S. Western Avenue on reports of a three-vehicle accident.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said one of the vehicles involved in the crash fled the scene.
“That vehicle and the suspected driver were located in West Peoria by Peoria County Sheriff’s deputies,” Dotson said.
A female occupant of one of the vehicles was partially pinned in the wreckage and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three people were taken to local hospitals for their injuries. Their conditions were unknown.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Peoria County coroner.
The accident remains under investigation by Peoria Police.
