PEORIA, Ill. — A man in his 60s who lived at University Rehab accounted for the area’s latest COVID-19 death.
Peoria City/County Health Department said 129 people between Thursday and Friday received positive test results. 85 of them were Peoria County residents, 34 were from Tazewell, and 10 were Woodford residents.
37 people as of Friday afternoon were in hospital beds. 11 of them were in intensive care.
Region Two metrics produced no causes for concern. ICU hospital bed availability held steady at 26%, while the rolling seven-day positivity rate dropped to 4.8%, and three fewer COVID patients Friday were in hospital beds than were occupying them on Thursday.
