PEORIA, Ill. — A man wanted in a May 2020 South Peoria shooting has been taken into Peoria Police custody.
The incident occurred May 30 in the 2400 block of W. Starr St., near South Metro Market.
A man was shot around 9:00 P.M. in the abdomen and leg. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but did survive.
Information gathered led to the naming of 31-year-old Tyree Thomas, who was found Tuesday in the 300 block of Sam J. Stone, where he was arrested without incident.
He has been charged with aggravated battery/use of a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
