BARTONVILLE, Ill. – FBI offices like the one in Peoria have been the targets of threats since agents raided former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.
Senator Tammy Duckworth, reacting to the news of threats and to the search itself Thursday, says, lest you forget about who’s in charge at the FBI…
“Remember that the FBI is currently headed by a Trump appointee,” said Duckworth. And that person is Christopher Wray, who’s been in the job since 2017.
And, Duckworth says, about all law enforcement…
“We need to support our law enforcement officers,” said Duckworth. “They’re doing their jobs the best they can — whether it was January 6th when they were protecting me from insurrectionists, or even when they are doing their jobs now.”
While speaking in Bartonville Thursday, Duckworth otherwise did not comment on the raid itself.
