PEORIA, Ill. — 192 tri-county residents between Tuesday and Wednesday received positive COVID-19 test results.
One person also died, a woman in her 80s who lived in Peoria County who had comorbidities.
98 of the new cases were Peoria County residents, while 77 were from Tazewell, and 17 lived in Woodford.
111 people remained in area hospitals with the virus, the same hospitalization count as Tuesday. 32 of the 111 were in intensive care.
ICU bed capacity, med/surg bed capacity, the rolling seven-day positivity rate, and the rolling seven-day average of COVID patients in the hospital remained in the “green” for Region Two.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker has said current mitigation rules could be lessened as early as Friday for any region in the green in all necessary metrics.
