PEORIA, Ill. — A Peoria County woman is the latest reported area COVID-19 casualty.
The female in her 60s did not live in long-term care and did have underlying health issues, according to the Peoria City/County Health Department.
Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford Counties combined between Wednesday and Thursday for 338 new cases. Peoria had 172, Tazewell reported 124, and Woodford increased its totals by 42.
112 people as of Thursday afternoon were in hospital beds because of the virus. 27 of them were in intensive care.
Region Two remained on track to be moved from tier three to tier two mitigation, as med/surg and ICU bed capacities remained above 20%, rolling seven-day positivity rate remained below 12%, and the amount of regional patients in hospitals continued going down.
