MORTON, Ill. — The Village of Morton issued a city-wide boil order, effective immediately, on Jan. 2, 2021, according to the Tazewell County Health Department.
A temporary loss of power at the Water Plant caused a temporary drop in water pressure within the Village of Morton.
Village of Morton customers are advised to use bottled water. They are instructed not to use water from appliances, ice makers or filtered water.
Village of Morton residents are to bring tap water to a rapid boil for one minute before using it for consumption, per the CDC.
