SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — 7,374 people throughout Illinois between Tuesday and Wednesday found out they have coronavirus.
178 people died from virus complications.
The Illinois Department of Public Health said 4,244 people as of Tuesday night were in hospitals with the virus or with suspected cases of the virus. 882 of those patients were in intensive care, while 496 were using ventilators.
Labs collected 74,573 specimens to test for COVID-19.
