PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford Counties experienced 194 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths in the most recent 24-hour period.
Peoria County had an increase of 79 cases, and Tazewell saw a rise of 91 cases. Woodford County experienced an increase of 24 cases.
The total number for the Tri-County area now sits at 25,750 cases, a 1,250 increase from last week.
133 people were in Tri-County hospitals with coronavirus, and 38 individuals were in intensive care.
Region Two was in the “green” zone as of Tuesday for all metrics needed to move to tier two mitigation levels.
The seven-day positivity rate was under 12% for the 11th consecutive day, and med/surg capacity was over 20% for the 11th consecutive day. ICU bed capacity was over 20% for the fourth straight day. There have been 10 consecutive days of patient decreases in hospitals.
