PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were called to the Circle K gas station in the 4200 block of N. Knoxville Tuesday night on reports of an armed robbery.
Officers were told the suspect entered the business with a gun and demanded money from the clerk before fleeing on foot.
Wednesday morning, the Peoria County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an armed robbery at Freedom Oil on Farmington Road. They arrested Johnny Bailey, 23, a short time later.
The Sheriff’s Office later notified Peoria Police that Bailey had information regarding the robbery at the Circle K.
“Peoria Police detectives interviewed Bailey and he was subsequently arrested for armed robbery,” Dotson said.
Bailey is being held at the Peoria County Jail.
