PEORIA, Ill. – Two men were arrested in Peoria after an alleged armed home invasion incident in East Peoria.
East Peoria Police says 68-year-old Larry Wallace and 37-year-old Gabriel Sheegog are charged with home invasion, aggravated sexual assault, and armed violence.
Police say a reported victim of the home invasion in East Peoria contacted Peoria Police on Thursday morning.
An investigation revealed the suspects allegedly entered a home armed with firearms, physically assaulted the two occupants, and tied one of the victims up.
East Peoria Police says one victim was allegedly sexually assaulted as well.
Police say Wallace and Sheegog were later reported at a residence in Peoria near Wallace and MacArthur, and were taken into custody with the help of Peoria Police and Peoria SWAT.

PEORIA, Ill. – Multiple police agencies are involved in an incident that has closed off multiple streets in Peoria.
Peoria Police says they are assisting East Peoria Police with an investigation that is centered in the area of Hurlbert and MacArthur. A Peoria Police spokeswoman says an armored vehicle is involved, but did not provide any further details.
East Peoria Police did not say much regarding the incident, only that is it an active investigation.
Peoria Police says temporary roadblocks have been setup in the area, and multiple nearby streets have been closed off to ensure public safety.
