EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The three finalists vying to lead Illinois Central College have been announced.
The college revealed the three finalists on Monday, each of whom will have public forums over the next couple weeks to meet the community.
Jamonica Rolle is a College Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and College Operations at Broward College in Florida, with her campus visit on March 5th.
A biography from ICC stated that Rolle has served as a Campus President, Vice Provost, and Dean. Rolle has worked on student retention initiatives, education reform, and partnerships that support local and state economic development.
The second finalist is David Ferreira, who is Vice President for Academic Affairs at Charter Oak State College in Connecticut, with his campus visit on March 9th.
ICC says Ferreira has more than 20 years of higher education leadership experience, with a focus on expanding access and strengthening workforce alignment. The college says Ferreira was nationally recognized for AI innovation.
The third finalist is Lisa Armour, who is Executive Vice Chancellor of the Maricopa County Community College District in Arizona, and will visit campus March 10th.
ICC says Armour has worked on large-scale institutional transformation, which includes shared governance. Armour has also served as a Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Santa Fe College.
ICC expects to name its new president later this month.
