PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury has indicted multiple individuals involved in the shooting death of a teenager earlier this month.
The grand jury on Tuesday indicted three people for First Degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Keyaun Hardimon. They are 18-year-old Jaxson Robinson, 18-year-old Cortez Smith, and 27-year-old Jafari Robinson.
Robinson was also indicted on one count of Concealment of a Homicidal Death.
18-year-old Curtis Jones was indicted on charges of Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder and Concealment of a Homicidal Death in connection to the shooting.
Hardimon’s body was reportedly found rolled up in a rug in the basement of a West Bluff home after suffering two gunshot wounds on the morning of October 1st.
Court documents allege that Jones was the individual who placed Hardimon’s body in the rug. Peoria County prosecutors allege that Robinson was found hiding in a bathroom with a spent shell casing in his pocket, with court documents alleging that he also washed blood from a floor at the home for the purpose of preventing or delaying the discovery of Hardimon’s death.
