PEORIA, Ill. – Three teenagers will now be tried as adults after being charged with murder in the death of a man in South Peoria on Sunday.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says 17-year-old Jamion Irby, 16-year-old Orlando Hanson Junior, and 16-year-old Davieon Webster are charged with First Degree Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Handgun.
The murder charges were added after the victim in the shooting, 22-year-old Khmari Rickmon, passed away Tuesday after suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
Prosecutors say the three teenagers reportedly ran from the scene of the shooting at Antoinette and Westmoreland to a nearby home, and were taken into custody a short time later.
A search of the home allegedly turned up three guns, of which shell casings from those guns matched those found at the scene of the shooting.
