PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria firefighters were called to the area of W. Forsythe Court and N. Wildlife Drive Thursday night for a rescue.
Battalion Chief Phil Snowden says crews arrived just before 7 p.m., finding someone at the bottom of a steep ravine in need of medical care. Additional crews were called to the scene.
Firefighters used a stokes basket, ropes and pulleys to bring the person out of the woods. They were then transferred to an AMT ambulance and taken to a hospital for treatment.
The person’s condition was not available.
