PEORIA, Ill. – A 45-year-old woman has been identified as the second victim in a fatal crash Saturday morning in Pekin.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says Candace Bumbalough of Pekin was taken to OSF St. Francis after the crash in critical condition.
The crash occurred just before 8:00 A.M. in the intersection of Illinois Route 9 and 14th Street, and involved an SUV, a pick-up truck, and a motorhome. Harwood says Candace was the driver of one of the vehicles.
Harwood says Candace was pronounced dead on Sunday at around 2:30 P.M., with an autopsy revealing multiple blunt force trauma injuries from the crash as the cause of death.
The crash also killed 16-year-old Charlotte Bumbalough of Marquette Heights, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

PEKIN, Ill. – Two people are now dead following a multi-vehicle crash in Pekin.
The accident happened Saturday morning at the intersection of South 14th Street and Veterans Drive.
Illinois State Police say an SUV collided with a pickup truck and a motor home.
A Marquette Heights teen, 16-year-old Charlotte Bumbalough was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said a second victim, a 45-year-old woman, died at OSF St. Francis Sunday afternoon around 2:30. Her name has not been released.
25 News reports that Bumbalough was a passenger in an SUV. It’s unclear what vehicle the other victim was in.
The crash remains under investigation by Illinois State Police and the Tazewell County Coroner’s Office.
