PEORIA, Ill. (25 News) – A young man pleaded not guilty to Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act Charges Wednesday in a Peoria County courtroom.
25 News reports 18-year-old Jayshon Davis is charged with violating the RICO Act, as well as aggravated discharge of a firearm. He was 17 when he was arrested last year.
Davis is one of 11 young men and teenagers charged with violating the RICO Act.
The charges are related to a series of gang-related crimes between the summer of 2022 and 2024, including several murders.
Davis is due back in court on December 10th.
