PEORIA, Ill. – A man was arrested Sunday after allegedly firing a weapon during an argument in South Peoria.
Peoria Police says officers made contact with an adult female in the area of Ann and Laramie.
She told police that 24-year-old Raymond Miller allegedly fired two shots during an argument inside the residence, then took her vehicle and fled before police arrived.
No one was injured.
Peoria Police says the vehicle was later found on Route 9 in Bartonville, and a search of it reportedly turned up a weapon.
Miller was taken into custody and arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery, Interference with the Report of Domestic Violence, Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Vehicle Hijacking, Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm Without a Valid FOID Card, Unlawful Possession of Firearm Ammunition Without a FOID Card, Criminal Damage to Property, and Endangering the Life or Health of a Child.
Miller was then taken to the Peoria County Jail.
