PEORIA, Ill. – Go! Day returns to the Peoria Riverfront on Sunday.
Allison Keiser tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan”, the event is about building connections in the community.
“We want to make sure that our community shines bright. Peoria has a lot going on in it…from all of our non-profits to sports teams. Really emphasizing the schools and the community that we have here, and how valuable that is,” Keiser says.
Choose Greater Peoria’s Laura Cullinan says the event is where the arts and sports collide.
“It highlights the best of our community, it highlights the generosity. It’s something to do on our beautiful riverfront, our beautiful downtown. And, we love having the excuse to bring people down here,” Cullinan says.
Go! Day Peoria is sponsored by Choose Greater Peoria and Big Picture Peoria, and runs Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Performances on the main stage on Water Street will begin at 11 a.m.
