PEORIA, Ill. – One person became entrapped during a two-vehicle crash in Peoria.
The crash happened around 12:24 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of University and Glen.
Peoria fire Battalion Chief Tom Burns said one of the vehicles was found on its side with one person trapped inside when firefighters arrived.
Extrication tools were used to safely remove the person, who was transported by ambulance to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
25 News reports a police spokesperson said the vehicle went through a red light and was struck by a turning car. The vehicle then hit the median and rolled on its side.
