PEORIA, Ill. – The head man for the Peoria Rivermen is set to be immortalized.
The club announced on Thursday that President, Co-Owner, and Chief Operating Officer Bart Rogers will be inducted into the Rivermen Hall of Fame. Rogers will be inducted in the “Builders” category this season, though a date for the induction ceremony has not yet been announced.
Rogers will be the second owner to be inducted, following the late Bruce Saurs, and the first President to be inducted.
Rogers first became President and COO in 2004 and left when the team was sold to the St. Louis Blues in 2008. He returned in 2013 as part of a five-man ownership group after the Rivermen left the AHL and moved to the Southern Professional Hockey League.
Under Rogers’ leadership, the Rivermen have won six regular season titles, and two President’s Cup league championships, in 2022 and 2024.
