PEORIA, Ill – The painting of the new arch of the McClugage Bridge highlights road projects that begin this week.
Beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, the right lane of the McClugage Bridge will be blocked for painting of the new arch.
The work will take place daily from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. for two weeks. Traffic from the Route 29/Adams Street ramp to eastbound McClugage Bridge will merge into a single lane and be controlled by a stop sign.
Starting Monday in Peoria County and continuing for two weeks, resurfacing work will take place on Glasford Road from Route 24 to Main Street.
Monday in Fulton County, a long-term pavement repair work, which also includes shoulder repair and guardrail improvements, will begin on Route 136 just west of Havana and on Route 78/97 south of Route 24. Traffic will be controlled by flagger during the day.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday the intersection of Smith Street and Steubenville Street in Peoria will close to all traffic as part of the Combined Sewer Overflow Year 3 Control Project. Weather permitting, the closure is expected to last through the fall.
