PEORIA, Ill. – The head of the Peoria Art Guild has stepped away from the position.
Executive Director Shannon Cox announced in a Facebook post that she left the role on July 18th after running the organization for seven-and-a-half years.
She did not give a reason for the departure, only saying that it was not something she wanted to do, but needed to do.
Cox says she is also healthy and adjusting to “this new slower chapter” to address apparent rumors that she was sick.
She adds that she is “deeply grateful” for accomplishments over the years, including art education, Sculpture Walk Peoria, and the Fine Art Fair.
