PEORIA, Ill. – A 22-year-old has been added to the list of people charged for their alleged role in a violent Peoria street gang.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says Nasaan Booker was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday for allegedly being part of the gang known as the “Snakes.”
Ten members of the gang were indicted last October for a violent spree that prosecutors say involved at least three murders and 12 shootings.
Booker was also indicted for First-Degree Murder in connection to the August 2023 shooting death of 16-year-old Antonio Walker
He becomes the second person charged in the death after 22-year-old Jyvonnie Williams was indicted for murder in connection on Tuesday.
