PEORIA, Ill. – One of two girls found unresponsive in a pool has died.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says Nola Lobdell, 6, died at 2:14 p.m. Friday at the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. An autopsy is scheduled Monday.
Lobdell and a seven-year-old girl were found unresponsive in the pool at Mt. Hawley Country Club July 28. The seven-year-old regained consciousness at the scene and was transported to a local hospital.
Peoria police say at the time of the incident the pool was closed for an employee appreciation event.
The incident remains under investigation by the Peoria Police Department and the Peoria County Coroner’s Office.
