EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The replacement for the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino in East Peoria could come sooner rather than later.
25 News reports that Boyd Gaming CEO Keith Smith stated on an investor call that work could occur as early as next year.
He says the company is working on final designs and getting approvals from regulators.
Many details of the new facility are unknown at this time, including where the casino will be located, with Smith only saying it would be in “central Illinois.”
Peoria city leaders are pushing for a relocation across the river, citing the original 1991 agreement that would put any land-based facility in Peoria.
