PEORIA, Ill. – Two teenagers, one wanted on warrants from multiple counties, were arrested at a Peoria apartment complex on Wednesday.
Peoria Police says a wanted 15-year-old male entered a residence at the Lexington Hills Apartments at around 1:30 P.M. About an hour later, Peoria Police and US Marshals made contact with four teenagers, including the 15-year-old.
A search warrant of the residence reportedly turned up a firearm with a defaced serial number.
The 15-year-old was arrested for Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft, two counts of Motor Vehicle Theft, a Peoria County warrant for Possession of a Stolen Handgun, and a Woodford County warrant for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
The 15-year-old was taken to Woodford County for processing.
A 14-year-old was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Firearm, and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
