PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say a four-year-old boy was taken to a hospital Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle.
Officers were called to the area of NE Adams Street and Spalding Avenue around 4:45 p.m.
PPD Spokesperson Semone Roth says the boy was alert and crying when officers arrived. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Roth says the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene. It was not a hit and run.
The incident remains under investigation.
