FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Mercedes-Benz has won agreement from its works council to offer buy-outs to staff under a programme to cut costs and jobs, German magazine Wirtschaftswoche reported on Tuesday.
Citing a video that was posted on the carmaker’s internal network for staff, Wirtschaftswoche said that compensation packages would only be paid in cases where both the employee and the company agree on a termination of the contract.
