PEORIA, Ill. – Believed to be the first baby of 2024 in Peoria has been born, but is receiving some important medical care.
OSF Saint Francis Medical Center says Marsaiah Travon McGee, Junior was born at home around 3:30 Monday morning, and was transferred to Saint Francis not long after.
The four pound, eleven ounce, 16.75 inch little boy is currently in the Saint Francis Neonatal Intensive Care Unit receiving treatment.
Marsaiah’s mother, Keijah Ward, is said to be doing well after what Saint Francis calls the unexpected birth.
Marsaiah will join two sisters when it’s time to go home.
