PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police say there could be as many as 1,600 Hyundais registered in the City of Peoria that have not gotten their cars fixed so people can’t break into them and drive off.
This, following reports of such incidents happening this year locally and nationally, involving vehicles without push-button starts
So, Police say they’ve teamed up with Mike Miller Hyundai to have that upgrade work done for free.
Any time between December 13th and December 20th, Hyundai owners can go to Mike Miller, 8000 W. Harker Drive in Peoria without an appointment, and have the work done by specially-trained technicians.
The work should take 20 to 30 minutes.
The work can be done Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 5:00 p.m., or Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
