PEORIA, Ill. – A legendary singer and a world-renown ballet production will be among the productions coming next year to the Peoria Civic Center.
The Civic Center says Bonnie Raitt has added Peoria as a stop on the “Just Like That” tour, and it will be in the theater June 28th.
“Many would think Raitt might be eager to rest and take some downtime after headlining 75 concerts in 2022 and another 50 in 2023 spanning the U.S., Australia, the UK, Scotland, Ireland and Canada, and winning three GRAMMY
Awards at the 65th Annual ceremony in February and an Americana Music Award in September (making “Just Like That” the first composition to win Song of the Year at both ceremonies),” said a Civic Center news release.
Meanwhile, the Civic Center says the World Ballet Series production of “Swan Lake” will also be in the theater, but on March 9th.
The one-night-only performance is described in a news release as having “richly detailed, hand-painted sets as well as over 150 radiant costumes that bring fresh representation to this timeless classic and will be performed with a live orchestra.”
Tickets for both shows go on sale this Friday, October 27, at 10 a.m.
