PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are looking for suspects after two separate shootings on Tuesday left two people with non-life threatening injuries.
The first occurred just before 1:00 P.M. on W. Proctor, but officers didn’t find any victims or damage at the location.
They learned about 20 minutes later that a male was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the chest. He told police that he was sitting in his vehicle when a male approached the vehicle and fired one shot into his chest.
The male then fled on foot.
The second shooting occurred just after 7:00 P.M. on N. Delaware after an alert of seven shots fired, where officers found a female juvenile with a gunshot wound to the arm.
Both shootings are under investigation.
