PEORIA, Ill. – A Pekin man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run accident that occurred near the Bradley University campus late last year.
Peoria County Jail records indicate Nickolas Bristol, 27, faces a host of traffic-related offenses, including for causing an accident resulting in injury or death.
The accident occurred last December near Renaissance Coliseum. 25 News reports surveillance video shows a Bradley university student crossing Main Street when he was hit, with the driver then seen getting out, looking at the victim, then driving away.
The victim reportedly spent five days in the hospital.
Jail records show Bristol posted bond on two warrants he was also wanted on, so he was released from jail, and received Notices to Appear in Court for the traffic offenses.
