PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria police say they put two people behind bars Monday after one of them was spotted going into a store with a gun.
Police say officers noticed Khylee Davis, 22, going into a business on West Main Monday afternoon, and put him into custody on a host of charges, including Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Theft, having a Defaced Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm Without a FOID Card.
Another man with Davis was also arrested. Ramaj Mathews, 20, also allegedly had a loaded handgun on him, and was taken to jail on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Handgun.
Davis remains in jail, while Mathews was released, according to jail records.
