PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury has indicted a man in connection with a fatal accident about a month ago.
The grand jury filed a felony count of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Involving Death against John Timothy, Jr., 39.
A separate file in Peoria County Court also lists a number of other traffic-related offenses from the same accident.
Timothy was arrested in late-August after a car struck and killed Akeem Alexander, 28, near Howett and Western. Alexander was on bicycle at the time.
The car allegedly used was found with front end damage near Antoinette and Madison Park Terrace.
Timothy is not in custody, but is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday morning.
