PEORIA, Ill. – If you look hard enough, you can still find gas prices below four dollars a gallon in the Peoria area.
But the Peoria-area averages, both according to GasBuddy.com and AAA, are just over $4 a gallon – both increasing another ten cents in the last week.
The statewide averages for both, however, declined slightly in the last week, moving to around $4.14.
GasBuddy says the cheapest price for a gallon of unleaded in the Peoria area was at $3.66, while the most expensive was $4.24.
Analysts expect some more price volatility because of Tropical Story Hilary on the West Coast, and whatever refinery outages might be caused by it.
